Nice attention to the details there. I have a Canon 10D and I won't even try anything over 200 ISO, I'm ready for a 5D when hopefully $oon.

nice review. it's a great little camera. my biggest complaint is the compression. i'm hoping in the future they either give you more control over the level of compression or just give you a higher grade output. in the meantime, i can't wait to get the 7D.
- for my needs the compression wouldn't be a deal breaker if they got the HD out.pr2

Ha, I didn't realize this article revolved around shooting video, i suck. That being said, i have the t1i, and pretty much everything mentionjed in the article holds true for the t1i as well.

just bought a 5dMkII myself, 14mm, 20-70, 70-200 [ with a 2x doubler ] - mostly for stills but shot a commercial last week with it and have gone thru some of the 30fps - 25fps PAL conversion this last week... all went ok, few issues as you mention, got sound sync back fine - just a few artefacts on interpolating the frames needed some car and atrewntion on fast moving shots... i'll write up a full doss like you just did when the job delivers this friday....

photo, not video (sorry)
Q:has anyone here compared 5D mark II and Nikon D700 in low-light AF performance? I love my 5D mark I for everything except low-light AF and higher ISO work.... or is this too geeky for all of us here?

Raf, you are talking about for photo, right? Cause that thing could probably do nothing useful for narrative video work.
