Go vikings! Hopefully we can finally win a Superbowl for the first time.

I live in Milwaukee and my cousin told me he saw a t-shirt that said:
#4 forever, we love you Brent!

Brett Farve is like the Yankees of football players. Either you love him, or you hate him.

I really can't understand why people hate the guy.

it's easy to hate someone when they show up to your house, drink your whiskey, bang your wife and kick your dog ... or beat you in a game of football in your own backyard.

Yeah, I get that. Packer fans really don't have much else in their lives up there in Green Bay. I remember one rookie in the draft being quoted as saying," Green Bay is interested but hell no, I m not going there. The big thing in that town this year was they got a new Super Walmart and everyone freaked out".
But they have to get over it. The execs made the decision for the future of the team with Rodgers. Farve has no obligation to that team. He can do what he wants, he has earned that right. Ted Thompson looked a little uncomfortable and like he didn't want to be there. Hey man, you made the decision and he ripped you apart.

That's the part of the storyline I like—Favre is forced out because Exec. Mnmt. wants to get rolling on the next era. Him getting to take it to them for making that decision makes me smile.
I don't really have a horse in that race, but I'd get a kick out of the Vikings putting a wrench in Green Bay's season this year.

It was the perfect storm for Favre. The Pack decides to begin a re-build of their team around a new generation quarterback, something all teams must do at some stage. After so-so performances with the Jets he ends up making a move to a team (the Vikings) that has been under construction since the late 90s. Now he's THE seasoned vet amongst some talented new blood. The Vikings had everything to lose in that game. At the beginning of the season I was wondering why the fuck the Vikings picked up old ass Favre. This guy's attitude is never-say-die, he's throwing the ball like a fucking marksman: bombs, quick outs, timing patterns, rolling past the right hash and throwing to the left corner of the end zone ... just amazing. And even better is the Vikings' D that showed up ... 7 sacks, a fumble, INT.
