does anyone have a solid resource that shows the percentage of users for a browser version coupled with display resolutions for those versions?
does that make sense?
thanks kmaier

coo, yeah the reason is i am working on a fullscreen background, but it doesn't work in ie6...so i am thinking if i have some ammo of resolutions compared to ie6 i could just make the image to that size from the largest amount.

Is there a specific need to develop for IE6?

'W3Schools is a website for people with an interest for web technologies. This fact indicates that the figures below might not be 100% realistic. '
each market is different please stop quoting w3schools.

ask the client for statisitcs if they cannot produce then normal common practice would be to develop for 1024 resolution and have it working across all browsers whislt supporting yahoo's graded browser support.
which makes ie6 on XP a grade A browser.
and before i get flamed. buid your site right then you wont have the ie6 issues that we all bitch about (me included)
