I'm not trying to win an argument, just populate an illustration to show the look they are associated with, and how (in their case) it dates them very poorly because it's actually an old logotype.

As much as I hate the company Microsoft's logo isn't bad, only boring.
Sears and Verizon look like they were created by the legendary thousand monkeys.

According to the March 1987 Computer Reseller News Magazine, “The new logo, in Helvetica italic typeface, has a slash between the o and s to emphasize the “soft” part of the name and convey motion and speed.” ... and as a slight reference to PacMan?
