no sense of rhythm to the page, but at least the sponsors will be happy their ads jump out at you like pedobear at a kids party.

It ain't that bad...
As to what was there before i think it's a big improvement,
as for what said above i'm sure they was wasn't the easiest
client to work with.

Yea... not super bad. I prefer it over the current one. :)

"New features include fewer links, a column dedicated to social networking sites Twitter and Facebook, and a large search engine box"
Sounds like a massive redesign job. No wonder the rest of us have to wait until next year. Oh, and don't get me started with that Bing logo

"They need to focus on making thing work. there best asset was MSN Messenger. there's no support for macs"What would be the benefit for them of making things work on Macs?

If we set aside our personal tastes and look beyond the aesthetics of this page then MSN has responded to its users really well - fewer links, the latest information, favourite services + social networking outside of MSN.
Also i think the performance of their 'front door' will improve if they go down this route - this page could take any huge traffic spike and load really fast on any device... improving the traffic to the rest of the network of information and communities isnt a bad move. I think they've solved a lot of design problems here...

"The new one suffers from Bing syndrome: It wants to be cool and modern but it suffers from complete lack of typographic decency."
