- I'm fucking dumbfounded and disappointed that you aren't aware of your Preferences folder(s) on your Mac.monospaced
- i'm a pc, 'fraid. Which I suppose is more disappointing.... *hangs self*Projectile
- I'd say re-install Illustrator, but I have this feeling you don't have the original discs either.monospaced

It's a file on your computer. But, I just realized that you're probably not on a Mac based on your response.
On another note, I can't believe you got nothing when you searched your computer for "library," "preferences" and "com."

?? Is this a menu in illistrator or a file on the hard drive? I don't see either. Searched for "library", "preferences", "pref", ",com" and nothing.

Library > Preferences > com.adobe.illustrator........
something like that
remove the file (Desktop before trash) and try again

how do i trash pref. files then? I don't see any "set to default" type thing in prefs..
..and your headache can't be worse than my hangover, trust me.

Sorry, I didn't mean 'profiles' I meant 'pref files'.
Its early... or late, or I have a headache or something.

coordinates fucked up? click in the crossing of the rulers and move it to the left upper corner of the artboard
- jimbojones0
reference points?

hmm deleted all my workspaces and restarted illy, no joy. Where do i find profiles?
- Orbit0
Trash your profiles. I get this happening sometimes. Its a glitch in the Matrix.
It could also quite possibly be that you've accidentally moved the centre point of the selection way off somewhere so that any adjustments you make are pivoted at a point off the pasteboard... but its more likely to be a glitch I think.

OK seriously, this is driving me nuts now!
In illy, when I adjust the dimensions of a rectangle, it moves. like waay across the frikkin page, so if i'm zoomed so it disappears off the screen. WTF! And to make matters worse, the XY coordinates of everything are at 0, so I can't place it back.
Do I have some odd setting activated? or is it a CS3 bug?
