I thought it may be Istanbul, too with the blue mosque in the background. But there are no tall, stepped buildings to the right of the Blue Mosque like in the photo.

I need some closure on this, is there anyway we can get a definite answer? Can we email this guy on twitter and find out, I'm not a twitter user so not sure how to go about it.

my feeling at first was eastern europe, but no cities are THAT BIG. doesn't look hilly enough for Istanbul. wouldn't somewhere hot have more exterior mounted air conditioners?
