Since I'm recently engaged I'm wondering if I should just rent a tux or buy a nice suit/tux. I only have one suit that is more suited to interviews. Thoughts?

rent unless you're a black tie and dinner type of guy. I would say you would need to use the tux atleast 6x a year to justify buying.
So ya rent, and buy yourself another suit :) maybe something a little more classy, handkerchief in the pocket?

Buy one. Keep it in your glory box to show your grandkids

fred got the number of this thread. then again buster boy might be correct, of course as it's a commitment ceremony there wont be any grandkids unless you adopt.

well there is a certain... how you say... Je ne sais quoi to owning a tuxedo. Work out a bit, cut back on carbs and have that bad boy tailored to your frame for the big day, all the while not letting her know, stand out from your groomsmen and be a badass on your day
- or just wear that thing that's been who knows whereversion3

just do the work out, cut carbs and wear a g-string with a mesh singlet. send a copy of the wedding snaps to version3 as a thank-you. he's happy enough with just the dudes shots.
