Seems to be a video card issue. I screwed with some of those prefs. It fixed it.

have you tried shaking the computer, like an etch-a-sketch?

Have you tried varying the transparency grid colors (like even lighter) to see if that has any effect at all on the blackness? Sounds like something else is going on though..

The Prefs show as normal yes. All indications are it SHOULD be transparent. a restart or PS didn't help. A load of an earlier Workspace didn't help. And a reboot of the whole machine didn't help.

My PS transparency grid has suddenly turned black. I have no idea what I did to make the change, and can't seem to get it back to normal.
Any ideas? Google yields answers to all other questions but mine.
