PS mousewheel zoom

Illustrator has this wonderful option that when you press alt and scroll with the mouse wheel it zooms in or out on the canvas, going through optically good percentages (50, 66,75, 100, 200, 400 etc).
Now, why this doesn't apply for Photoshop as well? Why there the percentages you go through are always odd, like 62.35%, 102,3%, 118,8,% etc?
By any chance can you set this on the preferences, or force the program to go through a series of correctly pixel-hinted zoom levels like you do (automatically) on illustrator?

Just googled it:
http://creativebits.org/photosho…"To make sure that you get even zoom ratios, such as 25%, 50%, 100%, 200%, etc you should keep the Shift pressed as well."
Why can't them be consistent??

and inDesign works differently than either of them :/

yeah, so much for a consistent workflow.
