it doesn't eliminate email though.
now i get an email, then go to basecamp. pretty retarded.

I find the time tracking clunky. I hate having to go in and out of projects to log hours and the lack of a calendar view. I wish it was more like Freshbooks.

Basecamp feels a little archaic at this point, doesn't it?

Currently use it where I work. After having used several other clusterfuck project communication tools, I would say it's one of the better ones out there.

I use it quite frequently at our small design firm.
I am on the same page as ifeltdave; it's excellent for project communication, not so much when you start having many rounds of revisions/reviews.
Still, it's a great asset to have - i'd rather have it than not.

we use it (big company) and it seems to work okay when people actually use it.
Personally I prefer it for task lists and general project communication. Its not so great as the sole file repository, though it gets the job done for simple, non-versioned assets

We use FunctionFox, it's really Amazing for teams under 10. Basecamp, we're not sure about because FunctionFox deliveres every time, for us it's not concieveable to switch. Don't know if that helps, just thought I would give you another option.

We are addicted to it.
IT has promised to build a similar project management suite to another department for months now - I added a co-worker from that department to a project we're working on together and now they want to abandon the custom suite and go to Basecamp.

Does anyone work at a large organization that uses it?
E-mail feels so archaic, there must be a better way to work with clients.
