I know this has been out for a while but has anyone played Days Gone? I bought it at the beginning of the pandemic and was never in the mood to really try out another zombie game, but decided to try it this week and - wow - much, much better than the reviews led me to believe it would be. Has its flaws but pretty solid game all around and one I keep coming back to. Seriously haven't that this much fun with a game in a very long time.
- ya, i had a blast with it about a year ago. fighting the zombie hordes is a lot of fun.Milan
- oh yeah Im getting this, full controller support too in Steam, sweet!GuyFawkes
- cant do the mouse thing, I need to be on a couch or else i feel like im workingGuyFawkes
- same, played through after a mate recommended. A lot better than the reviews lead you to be believe.MrT

Markiplier playing Power Washer Simulator is hilarious.

Pts 2 and 3. I'm enjoying watching him play as much as he's enjoying playing. I wish I had a PC, I would totally get this.
- I have this, it loses its charm very quickly and becomes an absolute chore to finish the jobs. Like in real life.face_melter
- It's tedious and one-note compared to games like House Flipper or Barn Finders.face_melter
- Loads of games that seem to be designed for Streamers/YouTubers these days. Limmy playing this a few weeks ago and it was much OCD/ slow descent in to madnesskingsteven
- The cleaning mechanic isn't that satisfying. I mean, it ~works~ and the new update improves it but it's just a grind after the first three or four jobs.face_melter

Another decent puzzler to recommend. Nicely written Lovecrafty story and a satisfying challenge. Made for a good change of pace when not being trash-talked for my Rocket League shitness.
- Totally tangential, but do we have enough RL players here to have a league? I swear I won't sarcastically spam "What a Save!"garbage
- it would only be sarcastic as I can't save shit. Yeah I'm in. Talbottom, PSN friends with scarabin but not sure of anyone else.MrT
- @garbage, have played a bit but really not very good at it (not at air dribbling standards)dee-dubs

- I'll add you guys. I'm Flaptron. I play a few rounds while winding down for bed, but on Switch so chatter would be on Discord.garbage
- @dee also lol that name is so RL that I swear that I might have played you before.garbage
- @garbage... Quite possibly, flaptron sounds familiar..I used to play quite a bit too as pre bed wind down (still pretty rubbish thou)dee-dubs

Valve announce new Switch-like Handheld platform, the 'Steam Deck'.
https://www.steamdeck.com/en/
https://store.steampowered.com/s…- Wonder how it feels. Ergonomics look questionable.SteveJobs
- gettin' that shitGuyFawkes
- Oh wait, just realized the emulation potential. Yeah, this is prob a must buy.SteveJobs
- so many questions... how is the battery life? does it overheat? are the joysticks replaceable (nintendo switch was plagued with joycon drift)?Milan
- Given it's Valve, I imagine the hardware spec ill be very well thought out and developed. The question is how successful they will be pushing it.Nairn
- ..although unlike locked-in platforms, it'd not be the end of the world if they didn't follow it up - it'll still function as a 'handheld gaming pc'.Nairn
- Want!scarabin
- got my reservation!mantrakid
- Marvel of tech, full desktop into an handheld, running Linux even!grafician
- IGN made a video about it:
https://youtu.be/oLt…Nutter - 720p seems a bit odd given the size of the screen, and the year?kingsteven
- and the aspect ratio is 16/10. also peep that bezel. guess these were part of cost-cutting measures?SteveJobs
- 1200x800 @ 60fps sounds goodgrafician

such a beautiful looking (and sounding) game
used to be too hard, now they've added "exploration mode" which is still a challenge, but at least it's not frustrating :)

HighFleet - a mix of strategy, management, and aerial combat with Rogue-like mechanics and a very-well realised Dune / WWII aesthetic.
The in-game artwork is stellar with an incredible attention to detail - the ships themselves look great and the gameplay is engrossing. I have been drifting towards titles like Stellaris and Crying Suns and this is like a more defined version of those types of games.
- huh, cool. Oldskool Microprose fan buys up IP assets, reboots company in 2019 with original founder on board.
https://en.wikipedia…Nairn - Yeah, great to see that logo again. I loved their games in the C64 era. Gunship, Airborne Ranger, and Microprose Soccer was top tier.face_melter
- Aye, I wasted quite an impressive amount of time in F-19 on the Amiga. Amazing looking back now at how I was able to do so! Loved that shit though.Nairn
- the soundtrack is epic. feels like a lot like Léon: The Professional soundtrack
also kickass on microprose!!!plash

Hey pals,
I wanted to reach out because we’ve recently announced our Sci-Fi Synthwave Tank Arcade game “Nuke Zone” and we’ve been trying to improve wishlist conversions from traffic that arrives on the Steam Store page.
https://store.steampowered.com/a…
Was curious if you had 5 minutes to check out the Steam page and let me know your first impression / gut feelings? Does the game seem compelling? Is the preview video / trailer good? Are the text and visuals interesting / encouraging?
Any advice, props or critiques warmly welcome & happy to return the favour if anyone else is looking for the same for any of their projects!
Thanks,
Nate <3- full controller support.
meets my standards! :)GuyFawkes - added to my wishlist, the only thing i notice is the page looks bare without reviews, categories and achievements on the right ...to be expected. and thekingsteven
- thumbnail seems a little off with the style of the game and like there's too much going on. i wouldn't expect the game to look as good (à la arcade cabinet art)kingsteven
- it looks much better in the listings so i imagine that was for legibility there...kingsteven
- Sweet, thanks for the feedback kingsteven and GuyFawkes!mantrakid
- WTF is this?! Tron?!
I LOVE IT!grafician - So rad, dude.DRIFTMONKEY
- Just posted this on my twitter man, good luck!grafician

- feels like this game has been in development longer than cyberpunk 2077Milan
- it does, but I look forward to not having to choose my cat's haircut or boot colour. And getting a PS5.MrT
- LOL i just got here to post thissted
- wow, never seen, looks promising!jagara
- I'm less excited after seeing the gameplay. Also, what am I gonna play it on?! PS5's are still impossible to get.section_014
- I just got a PS5 last week. But if you listen closely, it will also be on a PS4 and PC.jmckinno

Some shots from The Ascent. Pretty much finished everything apart from a couple of side missions that are bugged. Pretty enjoyable overall. Looks great of course, being an UE4 game, and the combat is rewarding once you start levelling up your weapons and expanding your abilities.
But there are mad fucking crazy difficulty spikes if your gear isn't ~just~ right - you could be on or above the mission level but still get absolutely melted; because videogames! And they really need to do something with the map. It is practically useless when it comes to wayfinding and navigation.
Still much prefer Ruiner, for my One Man Army Head-Caving Future Fuckfest.
- Looks so good. Until I own all the consoles I might give Ruiner a spin, heard it was insanely difficult though, no?MrT
- Nah, it has essential mechanics that you need to learn to combine - namely shield and dodge - to get past enemies unscathed. You can get it for pennies now.face_melter

OCTOBER 8
- I hope its still kinda hard, they make games too easy these daysGuyFawkes
- ^ If you watch the other trailers there's some gameplay. It looks dope. I think they revived this project because they saw small studios jacking their vibe.garbage
- Re: Hollow Knight and Dead Cells.garbage
- Though everyone is pissed at Team Cherry. They set a massive bar with a tiny team.garbage
- show me the gameplay!!!sarahfailin
