Anyone know of any? Designing t-shirts or posters to raise money. I'd like to join or start one.
- SumWurk0
If you start one, I'll donate some Haiti photography that you can sell.

remove the effort and pull money out of your pocket. that way, there aren't so many people between the money and the help they need

How bout you get the ball rolling here eh? Maybe we can do a collaborative site where we can sell artwork that QBNers donate. Spotlight's on you now son!

I guess most people here are not understanding what you are trying to do/explain. He's not trying to re-direct funds or create another barrier, he's talking about something along the lines of 'The Hurricane Poster Project'

At least, that's what I think...

For Meeklo...
"NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Texting a donation to Haiti relief efforts feels like an immediate way to help, but it could take up to three months for your $10 to land in American Red Cross coffers."

OSFA: I got a msg right after the bottom one saying that it might not show up on my bill right away, due to "high volume" and it can take up to 48hs

time = money
shirts = money
posters = money
merchant account = money
domain = money
hosting = moneyit's only going to take money to get to the point you can earn money to give. so just give the money
- version30
i don't think haiti really needs any awareness campaigns
- OSFA0
I know, and the red cross still wants people to help this way. BUT, what happens is that phone companies will wait for everyone's bill to be paid in order to send the money. They are not sending all these millions up-front (they will never give out money like that, simply based on peoiple's good will) The only phone company that has said they will be providing $ to the red cross in advance is Verizon, and they are only up-frontin' $3Mil.
I'm looking for the links on this so that I can back up what I am saying, just wanted to share that with you.

$20 say Fairey is working on a poster as we type.

it's all explained on the article you posted above:
http://money.cnn.com/2010/01/15/…"The Red Cross already has cash on hand, so it's putting that money to work now and will replenish its coffers once the mobile donations are officially processed, Aiken said.
"That's how it's always worked," Aiken said. "So in a way it doesn't matter which exact date the money officially comes in. And in any case, we're still going to be in Haiti 90 days from now -- this is not going away anytime soon."
- OSFA0
Damn, that Clay Aiken dude is really all over the news eh?

Banksy doing pieces on pieces of broken concrete with blood. auctioning them to angelina jolie once they can be shipped from haiti to the us.
