Right so I've got to learn the general basics of interface design using expression blend, design etc over the next few weeks. So I was wondering if anybody could give me a few pointers on the best way to go about this, or links to any useful video tutorials, since the videos on silverlight.net seem to be extremely uncatagorised and not exactly that useable.
So yeah, if anybody knows much about silverlight and expression Microsoft Expression then a few pointers to get started would be extremely useful!

I'm learning it right now. I've been using the tutorials on Lynda.com and they are helpful. Very elementary but give you a good sense of everything that is not intuitive...which is a lot!
Once you go through Lynda.com the silverlight.net tutorials will make more sense.

forget blend and learn xaml

Wouldn't the best way to learn xaml be to learn Expression so you understand the syntax in action? Kinda like learning HTML through Dreamweaver.

Been looking throught it, learning xaml isnt going to happen, I still get stuck on xhtml/css at times so xamling it up isn't going to happen.
It seems that designing buttons etc is fairly easy, I'm just struggling with triggers since I dont seem to have the triggers window in expression blend 3 (the video tut uses eb2, so that might be why). Apart from that though its all good so far. Some of the dev team upstairs are skilled on it to so I can always ask them.
This really isn't an intuitive piece of software at all though.

There's nothing intuitive about it at all...timeline and stage make sense thanks to Flash but that's about it. I feel your pain. Good luck.
Here are a couple other resources:
