I'm not really clear as to what you "designed" in any of this.
- One image just says PICS, and then another is just a Porsche. No explanations. I'm confused.monospaced
- Screenshots of your applications don't help us understand what you created, either.monospaced
- Hmm, ok..good advice...what would you suggest I do to show off the apps?inv
- I'm not sure if there's much to show off. Maybe just try explaining what you did.monospaced

I guess sort of my problem is that I have done so much, without really focusing on one field. Everything from
- Pure design work (like 10 years ago)
- Image processing for medical images. Detecting cancer etc. (master thesis)
- Hard core business programming. Making search engines.
- ASP.net web applications. Design and implementation
- Windows desktop applications. Windows forms / Windows presentation foundation. Did the interaction design, graphics, and implementation.
- Lots of private projects with processing for instance

I guess what I am askin is how the hell do you sell yourself as an interaction designer?
- Show the "interaction" part.monospaced
- And how do I do that? Video?inv
- How do you sell your interaction concepts if you can't show how they work first?monospaced

Why on Earth are you popping your graphics up into a slide with a teched out version of Windows running? This is attractive to no one but yourself (and, admittedly, other techies, who'll likely ooze curiousity about the additional buttons in your window bar).
Screen shots of input boxes are doing you no favours. Either link to the full app/site, or - perhaps - might you be able to do a video screengrab of these apps in action, then host on youtube, or something?
If you can't video it - could you write about it? Spend time describing what these apps do and win what environment they were created - then choose a single, attractive, though not necessarily 100% (to your involvement) relevant image.
Your layout is very "tech". By which I mean, less 2advanced studio, more "I'm a techie, and I don't really give two fucks about how the thing looks, just as long as it works ok and comes in a really small font". What is it with tech types and small html text?
- What is it with QBN types and ejaculations all over a thread with their "input"?gjd
- He fucking asked, Gavin.monospaced
- Did you miss the bit in the OP where he asked for feedback, or are you just trying to score points?detritus
- Unless you think I mean 'tech' as an insult? but that would say more about you than me..detritus

Hehe, see your points. Thanks for the input ;) Though I would just go with a very easy look. Just list some of my work. And you are right, I guess I am more of a techie - should probably tone that down.
I wish i hade more work and that I could me more picky in choosing what to display ;)

If in doubt, Copy.

To be honest I did not spend a whole lot time on this. Just needed to put some of my work somewhere to show to a potential employer. Have to send the link tonight. So I guess my question is...will I make a total ass of myself if I send the portfolio? Should I just silently retreat and wait for the next opportunity....and of course work on something way better =)

I actually like your website in some weird kind of way. It works. I even like the transition from thumbnail to full-screen and the keyboard navigation. The small text speaks to your tech background. The biggest problem is that you aren't thinking through your work. Step back and imagine that you're seeing it for the first time.

I would personally not show that current website to a potential employer in the condition that it is in. To be honest, it is horrible on so many levels.
Why don't you simply download this blog theme and through your work in there, done!
