I drive 50 miles to school every day that I go, I'm there for almost 12 hours, then I have to drive 50 miles back. Through mountains too so it's really slow at parts. When there's fresh snow or ice it can take up to four hours to get there, but normally it's just an hour to an hour and a half.
- Also the morning sun when I leave is blinding, sometimes I have to put on my warning lights and do 5-10mph...ismith

I have a mind-numbing 0:05 second commute from my bedroom to home office, 12 long steps. Enough said.

Women on TTC (Toronto Transit) who look at me like I am going to attack them simply because I am larger than they are and with a mustache and possibly listening to "strange" electronic music...
The feeling that no one can trust one another because of so much anonymity...

Single Track tunnels in the NYC Subway.
If a train breaks, you sit and wait with no way to alert your office. At least on multi-track trains they can re-route and alternate trains.

At least you don't have to drive through road closures and tourists in the next two weeks.

On average 1 hour to commute from the sticks to downtown Detroit. Hate the drive but love the sticks. Totally worth it.

16 miles each way on a bicycle because I'm trying to prove that I don't have to rely on a car. Although it is apparent you don't need a car to get to work, on the later nights (past 10) it would be awesome if my legs weren't the only thing getting me home. I'm finishing another motorcycle next week, I'll be riding that asap... The year of biking is over.

It takes me 15 minutes to get to work, and I barely have to go outside so I don't even wear a coat.

I drive to work, around 45 mins each way, on a road which seems to attract the worst drivers in the world. I've been doing this nearly every day for 9 years and it's a miracle I've never had anyone crash into me.

my commute now is somewhat different to london where my problem was not getting squashed by buses.
In shanghai a bad commute to work can include, walking out the front door having an old lady banging a fish on the steps, A man losing grip of a headless chicken and i getting blood squirted right into my path narrowly missing me. people spitting. massive arguments. and the biggest danger... some cold green tea leaves being thrown out of a high rise. all within 150 meters to the office.
not good with a hangover.

Up at 6:30am out by 7, 10min car journey, 8min train journey, 35min walk. It could be worse I suppose but walking 3miles a day is a bit frustrating.

I have to get onto 2 outer-belts, 2 Interstates, and 1 US Highway (pretty much every freeway in the city) to get to and from work.
It can take as little as 35 minutes to as much as 2.5 hours.

I have a similarly mind-numbing bedroom to home office commute as utopian. Although there can be a pool detour as it's so bloody hot right now.
