Have client that is not open to using wordpress. They are all .NET. anyone have any blog engine recos that are similar to wordpress and has good plugins and support?

Why would any business want to serve a site on their own premises? I never understood this. Anytime I have ever had to deal with a client that I installed all of their site files, scripts, etc. on an in-house server it was a nightmare. Can't understand any benefit whatsoever.

they are heavily invested in microsoft technology. what can i say. they are large corporation. i proposed using wordpress for a site and they aren't into. their developers will be building it and it's living in their environment. so far, i've only been able to find this:

We use Umbraco (well, the developers do) and they swear by it.
