- I wonder where it will end up.JackRyan
- Been really digging BMWs lately. 2002,e3 and e9sinstrmntl

http://bringatrailer…instrmntl - My first car back in the 90s... a burgundy 1974 2002 with FAHRT START superpowersprophetone
- ...and i wish i still had it. could actually cool it out now like so http://www.stancewor…prophetone
- mmmm... I can see that s14 being fun in that car. takes away from the classic aspect of it though. Which is odd because 02 guys swap different motors in these..sofakingback
- all the time. I would ditch the wheels, remove window tint and repaint the engine back to stock, looks cooler that way.sofakingback
- Price wise, this will end up at 18-22k. The motor swap makes it questionable. nice 02s bring in 21-23k right now.sofakingback
- instrmntl: if you're digging the e9s, that red one is tempting because of the engine / tranny combo. These usually come with 3.0 engines and 4 speed trannys.sofakingback
- Specialized shops, put 3.5 engines, with 4 or 5 speed, LSD, with a sport bilstein suspension. really changes the car... but these are fucking priceysofakingback
- I tried getting one last year and it was tough finding the right one. That red one looks like it has some rough edges. Probably needs a resto from what i can sesofakingback
- love it********
- Damn, it sold for $23,750.instrmntl

The former Scion FR-S will debut as the 2017 Toyota 86 at the New York International Auto Show
- I like the shape and stance of this car. But all the lights and grill are ugly.iCanHazQBN

I was thinking of buying a Cayman or M3, as some of you remember. I've test driven them, calculated a lot, also test driven a 370Z. None of these cars really stole my heart. I am currently selling m BMW below and will buy a Fiat 500 Abarth! The 595 Competizione! I fell in love with this car, it sounds like a mad ferrari, is hella fun to drive, faster than my 325i and a lot cheaper to maintain/insure.
I don't need more sportscar than this!!
Hello!
Soundcheck:
Bye ;-(
- Uh, really? You drove an M? Night/day difference from something like a 330. That Fiat 500 got one of the worst cars of the year, not surprisinglyformed
- Just build quality between a 325 and an M is amazing. The Z sucks for quality too (fun for cheap, but not in the league as the original Zs).formed
- Did you consider the new M2?formed
- I was looking for the 2008 cayman and M3 models, the M2 is out of range moneywise. Who put the Fiat in such bad perspective? The reviews I read were all goodmekk
- I was really, really sad after the 370 test drive. The sound was like some middle class toyota, the 320hp are nowhere to be found, interior was horrible.. man!mekk
- Well.. the M3 is still one of my favorite cars but I had the same fun with the 500 plus a dumb smile all day. The e90 M3 is douchey too. E46 M3 is too old.mekk
- Not an Audi fan? S3 and S4 drive better than any of the above from my experience. Maintenance is pricy but...you are in the market for a sports car.dirtydesign
- I don't like Audis, they're trying too hard with that overly manly attitude. A Sports car should be allowed to have fun :) But you're right quattros can be fastmekk
- these guys drive Audis: http://talentreunion…mekk
- You think the S5 is "trying too hard"? I'd say it's a very understated performance car, especially compared to the M4. I don't think the e46 is too old.formed
- Style wise, maybe, but mine has been superbly reliable (only 55k miles, so no hurry to upgrade) and the performance is superb. Sucks in the winter though.formed
- I do care about build quality, that Fiat is at least a handful of levels down, pretty close to the bottom of the heap. The m3 is pretty closer to the topformed
- FAR superior to that 325. Next time I'll get an S5 for the all wheel drive.
The new Z's are a huge dtep down from the first gen, which I had a TT versionformed - which is still one of the most fun cars to drive (better than my M3 for fun), the M3 has been superly utilitarian, too, my mtn bike, golf clubs, etc., all fitformed
- yeah, that's the downside. You have an e46 M3? I mean, maintaining it is a lot more expensive than the 500, at least here in germanymekk
- http://www.usatoday.…formed
- "Overall, Lexus is the most reliable brand. Fiat is the least". I know it's a cheaper one, but that's a statement.formed
- Worst, though, it's one of the ugliest cars on the road. Pocket rockets can be fun, but at least look at one that is built half decently.formed
- Did you try the 1 series?formed
- well, they're not THAT bad. the sabelt seats and the overall interior feels quite good, the only thing that really feels cheap is that plastic around th shiftermekk
- http://www.auto123.c…mekk
- I hate the 1 series. It makes young people look like frat kids.mekk
- the US version is far different from the EU version alsomekk
- talk to akrok on here. he has a white one. looks cool.sofakingback
- formed0
- Yes the Audi looks good but it's too serious for me. It sure is fast and everything but it doesn't put a smile on me.mekk
- That picture of the 500 is not an actual 500, this one is: http://images.car.ba…mekk
- I'd say the 500 looks like a fun ride while the Audi and BMW look like toys for Autobahn business.mekk
- To each their own, I guess. The Fiat looks like a toy for a 20 yr old, or pizza delivery (there's a small fleet of them here, looks cool for that purpose).formed
- The bmw/audi looks like sophisticated cars that have class but also performance (maybe not that M2/4, a little over the top with the scoops)formed
- build quality is light years ahead, though, and having driven my m3 for years I can't go several steps downformed
- formed, I actually am a 20something old looking for a toy =)mekk
- that's me, though, I love build quality and attention to detail, hugely important for a major investment (to me)formed
- I mean, just look at the price tag of the M4 and compare that to the 500. No way I'll be spending M4 money if the 500 makes me so happymekk
- 0-60 doesn't matter so much, anything can be 'fast' (but yeah, these are all fast, I racked up a handful of tickets in teh first few weeks)formed
- Yes, I love the interior of my BMW. The 500 is a downgrade here.mekk
- and look at the M3/S5, the interior is a massive step up from your 325 (everything from materials to seats to wheel, etc.)formed
- so here's how I look at it: 500 is a toy, probably a blast to drive, but will plummet in value and is an economy car at heard.formed
- The M3/S5 were built for things you/we'll never do, they last. They also hold value, after 8 years of driving, my car is only about 20-30% less in valueformed
- yeah you don't buy sports cars for their great value..mekk
- 20-30% decline over 8 years is pretty stellar. I do buy things with selling in mind, knowing I'll always do taht eventually.formed
- That bmw m2 is the fuckin business. From what I hear its as good as it gets.
Those audis are too big to be 2 door cars. meh.sofakingback
- mekk0
@ maaku: I'd like to buy the 4C actually but its around 60k. Maybe in a few years, I hope they continue it otherwise they would get horribly expensive used. It looks great, sounds great, has a modern carbon chassis.. man, this is what sports cars are made of, not a million horsepower.
@formed: Yes, you got me thinking. The 1 Series M Coupé is reaching ridiculous prices in germany, around $50k and up. The 135i is too new to buy for a good price, also I don't like it. The 130i would be an option but honestly.. the 1 series is just so dry and unemotionally german.
I sat again in the Fiat today, we drove around a little on the back roads. It was the 140hp "Custom" model. It was as fast as my current bimmer but didn't sound very good with the normal exhaust. I'm still in for the 160hp model with Record Monza exhaust.
What's so wrong with it?
- The Fiat is like an Automatic Timex - sure, it'll perform adequately, but will always be a cheap watch that can't compare to a Rolexformed
- Just remember the Fiat is a cheap economy car that's been hotrodded - it'll probably be fun, but it'll fall apart tomorrow. The other cars are the opposite.formed

It's the 500L model, so take what you want from this:
http://www.cnbc.com/2016/03/16/c…All of the models on Consumer Reports' list scored less than 62 points on a scale of 1 to 100. The lowest score, 31, went to the Fiat 500L compact car. Consumer Reports said the 500L has several "significant flaws," including a "poor" rating in the small-overlap frontal crash test conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
"Don't just take our word for it," Consumer Reports wrote about the vehicle. "Even owner satisfaction is below average — meaning a strong percentage of owners wish they hadn't bought this hatchback."

You idiots. I am now looking closely at a '12 135i full spec coupe in "deep sea blue metallic" 60k miles, 24.000€
I can't decide, that is the true story here.
- A fine choice if you like driving.DRIFTMONKEY
- Go for the Abarth. It's the closest to the 4C it will get. I drove both of them.
If you go for the 135 you will always want a 1M...Longcopylover - Or wait for the Giulia Quadrofoglio...Longcopylover
- Woohoo! I'll rest easier tonight!formed

- Older GTR is way too expensive, alone maintaining it. Fiesta ST is just a little bit better than the 500 but looks like ass. If compact, then 500.mekk
- even if the ST, Swift, Cupra and Clio RS are 0.3 seconds faster 0-60mekk
- not sure about the 0-60 but car enthusiasts have lost their mind over it when it comes to handling and sportiness and fun_niko
- you've probably seen this: https://www.youtube.… a ford's a ford I suppose, not as sexy as the other cars youre looking at_niko
- formed0
- The thing is I don't see a point of such fast and expensive cars anymore since a way cheaper car made me so happymekk
- I hear ya. For me, the quality is what matters - they are built so well compared to the econo-burners. I drive mine daily and love every minute.formed
- looking at slightly used Golf VII GTIs also, maybe these can offer a good price and performance.mekk
- Yeah, you can grab an E92 with the venerable N54 engine and only be half a second slower than an M3...for half the price of an M3.zarb0z
- An M3 is an entirely different car, though, it's not just about 0-60. Different seats, rims, suspension, wheels, wheel, transmission, etc., etc. Night and dayformed
- elektro2
- be honest, would you drive it everyday?mekk
- It has 4 doors and an actual trunk. I mean, I would daily a Golf R, why not this.elektro
- If you are in your early 20's.formed
- more if you are in your early 10's.. rather have a GTI than this.mekk
- ill take one in black********
- Pretty sure i'd be like a 10 y/o behind the wheels of thiselektro
- Folk in their early 20's don't drive Focus RS's. The insurance would cost more than the car.face_melter
- ^True, it's worth 50k, it's a niche car, in the same class as the Civic Type Relektro
- still a hot rod economy carformed

Ok, I just had some time with the Abarth and you're right. Its got a crappy interieur and is more expensive to maintain than my current ride. I will not buy this Car, but I still like it a lot.
Back to Zero.

not too sure about this thing!!

- ugly porsche-esque buttChristian
- or wv, not sureChristian
- that's a beautyful car, make sure to get the sport package, mercs look a bit dull without them nowadaysmekk
- *beautifulmekk
- hmm. i like the butt, even more than the front.iCanHazQBN
- yeah, at first I thought it was the new S class coupémekk
- Can't say I am a fan of new Mercedes, looks like they are trying too hard and a little confusedformed
