You would think after a while the ass portion of the centipede would say, 'the fuck with this' and tear his ass away.

All i know is that i watched the trailer and had to have a lie down. I hate surgery or torture stuff in movies, i have a pathological fear of blood in general....
I did think the first Saw was good though

I have to say, it's definitely a disturbing and provocative movie in a torture/horror sense. It's tough anymore to create a movie that really pushes the envelope. The Saw movies... you know what to expect by now. Hostel and those types of movies are more about pleasure seeking from torture and murder. This movie is kind of out there on its own in an experimental/mentally fucked up kind of way, and is all the more terrifying because it's attempting to do things by the book, medically speaking.
I think people are more terrified by things based in realism than horror based in pure fantasy. The Saw movies, for example, well, people aren't really building those kinds of fucked up killing machines, but I never felt those movies were entirely "about" the torture and murderous aspect.

^^ i was thinking the same. this trailer actually spooked me a little because all i can think is that some psychotic, somewhere on this planet, maybe where human life is not highly regarded, will want to attempt this to simply "see" if it works.
- it's just so sick, that it really makes you wonder. plus what angers me is to think about how many kids will end up watching this! :(sea_sea

I had a nightmare last year that i was taking a cab somewhere in a city, and the cab driver took me hostage and drove me to a big warehouse in a sort of desolate, harbor-side type of area. I had no idea what was going on, but was taken out of the cab by people with guns and into this really sterile holding room and a large room, like half the size of an airplane hanger.
Nobody could leave, and inside there were surgeons basically skinning and dissecting people alive, under anesthesia, to create living examples of those Bodyworlds exhibits. It was really fucked up, there was just so much screaming and nobody could leave. I remember being really afraid in the dream and realizing there was just no way out.
They were basically trying to do that to people while they were alive, and were spraying liquid nitrogen on the body parts they cut up to stop the bleeding.
It was so fucked up. I felt sick when I woke up.
- Whoa. Awful dream.duckofrubber
- you should pitch it in hollywoodraf

- dude, that actually happened to me. wasn't fun to say the least. : (artbum

The most disturbing movie ever made?
http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/…
While the creativity qualification is fulfilled, "Centipede" is different from its torturous predecessors in that the gore is implied rather than shown, asking the audience to use their imaginations and thus creating a more personal, and thereby uncomfortable, viewing experience.
"It's certainly less gory than 'Saw' or the 'Hostel' movies. Despite the fact that it's explicit, the uncomfortable moments are because of what you imagine could happen," said Las Vegas Weekly film critic [LINK] and FilmCritic.com contributor Josh Bell. There's a moment when the first person in the centipede line-up needs to defecate, and the audience is left imagining what the second person in the centipede is going through.
