Nope, older than that. I think he'd been working since the 50s or earlier. I don't think his wife was so much a feature of the images, he just used her when he needed a person in the image and maybe didn't want to use himself...? I don't think she was a model.

Hard to explain. Optical Illusions? I seem to remember one image where he was walking across a ladder that appeared to be laying flat across two ledges, although it's so minimal that you just see ladder, person, and giant shapes in either black or white.
The images are very graphic. Not graphic as in sex or violence, but graphic as in "graphic design."
