I recently got the Canon 450d (xSi) with a twin lens kit - (18-55 IS and 75-300 IS) and I'm pretty stoked with it.
Now I just need more lenses, a better tripod, a flash head, studio lighting, reflectors, soft box, a selection of filters etc. and heaps of practice.
Expensive hobby (double the price down here), but I'm sure I'll be able to make some moolah out of it one day. (at least that's what I told the missus so I could spend a chunk of change on it).
- good plan. i think im gonna start with one of the rebels.dirtydesign

thanks folks.
lens recommendations would be great too.

i have an original rebel, xti and xsi.
for your first camera don't spend too much money on the body. camera bodies depreciate incredibly fast. spend a little extra and get a lens or flash.

do you guys shoot with the rebel?
if there's anything light years better for a little more $, i'd prob do that.- the rebel is a great starter camera, there's an xti in my bag next to the 5Dquack

cameras especially rebels are like cars, if it's your first, buy used, you'll be upgrading soon anyway
