Ive done a few boutique sites in flash before. Never had any hassle with google listing the site.
I know flash isn't ideal for SEO. but it would should at least recognise the site.
i get nothing when i use site:benjaminlennox.com
the sites been up for a week or so now.
Is there something i'm missing?
I have the site submitted to google, also using analytics on the site...
agggghhh
help!

looks like there is something in your site that is asking google to skip you. do you have a robots.txt?

curious about the size, does it re-size for smaller browsers?
you have to side scroll on a 1024x768 monitor which is still 20% of users, but probably not your target audience, so fuck it whatever, site looks great.- yeah we've had this converstaion. mostly aimed at other photographers , fashion clients, industry etc. BIG screens

swf object?

first thing, use swfobject to embed flash.
Place some about description in the display tags for google crawler.second, usually it takes more than a months to appear once the site goes live. especially if the domain was registered recently.

Ok, cheers Zaq. Good starting point.
will do.

Gotta remember, Google likes content.
When the Googlebot hits a typical site, they see something like this:
http://www.seo-browser.com/resul…
This is what Google sees when going to your site:

It takes me 2 weeks before I see a new site indexed by google.

yes SWFObject is easy enough to implement. You can stick some alternate content in div and use js to replace it.
I think It might help for a site with nothing to index.

I see you added some text and your title is already your main search term, which is good.
The other thing is links. I've seen Google show some skepticism about indexing pages before but once they are linked from a reputable site it will index right away.
And if possible, have the anchor text as the term you want to optimize for.

Thanks for the help boys and girls. Now struggling with what seems like the simplest of problems - centering both vertically and horizontally the flash video. Easy with active content, not so easy with swf object. ... will it never end!
