Also, check the apple developer center for iPhone os CSS (which applies to the iPad as well). There are CSS options & JavaScript options for things like hiding some of the browser ui, if I remember correctly

Also bear in mind, resolution on these screens is 132 ppi, not 72. You might want to take into consideration the battery/time/date control bar, which is 21 px high I believe. That would translate to 11.34 pt if you're designing an app in InDesign (yes you can do that now).

there is no scrollbar

Hey Stugoo,if you're designing for landscape mode you can fully use 1024x690 pixels. The OS Header + browser UI basically takes up 78 pixels. Ignore the scrollbar as it has zero bearing on the frame - you're designing fullframe here. The scrollbar simply dynamically appears over the site.

I really wish they would do away with the scrollbars in Mac Os X completely, think it'd look great if they just appeared as they do on the iphone and ipad.
