Coronavirus doctor dies of heart attack after working 10 days straight
- Grim.PhanLo
- Poor dude; the public will hear "Corona virus death" even though it was a heart attack.
I thought advertising hours were bad...ideaist - Dr. Li Wenliang died, and his parents, children and pregnant wife have also contracted the virus. :(

I lost a really good friend this week...Leukemia sucks, but he caught two infections while in the hospital, apparently they did him in.
In American hospitals alone, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that HAIs account for an estimated 1.7 million infections and 99,000 associated deaths each year. Of these infections: 32 percent of all healthcare acquired infection are urinary tract infections. 22 percent are surgical site infections.

Don't know where to start with the loss of Andrew Weatherall.
A truly unique individual and creative genius. And not just music, whatever he turned his hand to.
One of the continuous threads of my musical life. A key original figure of Acid House. A founder member of Boy's Own. 'More punk than punk'.
Someone who never sold out despite many opportunities to do so.
"It’s a lot of work, once you go up that slippery showbiz pole, and it would keep me away from what I like which is making things. I mean, I had a little look in the early Nineties. I stood at the bottom of that pole and looked up and thought to myself ‘The view’s pretty good. But it’s very greasy and there are a lot of bottoms up there that I might have to brush my lips against. So, maybe I’ll give it a miss’."
There are so many great interviews of his on YouTube and in print, he was as entertaining talking as he was producing and playing music.
I was lucky enough to meet him 5ish times at various parties and festivals. Each time there are stories I will never forget.
Too many memories of dancing to his sets, some more blurry than others and across 3 (or 4!) decades.
More recently, 8 years ago two of the best nights of my life in Croatia, one on a boat on the Adriatic and another overlooking the sea, dancing all night long to his unique brand of electronic music from outer space. I had recently met my partner and we had the best, happiest time, I will always associate his music with that.
ALFOS (A Love From Outer Space) was a fantastic party he did alongside Sean Johnston. Even in his 50's he was as relevant and could work a crowd like no other DJ I ever saw. My partner in music had ALFOS booked in for an event in March, it had already sold out.
His countless productions were incredible, too many to mention but each decade of his working life produced absolute gems.
I started making music seriously (as serious as I get) again in the past 5ish years. Through a mutual friend we got a number of tracks to him. I am eternally grateful to him for supporting our music. He even often gave us a report after the weekend on how they went down. Hearing Andrew play our music was a feeling like no other.
A year or so ago we were amazed when he agreed to remix one of ours. I still pinch myself about that. My vinyl (1/500) of that is now even more precious.
RIP Guv’nor, you were a gentleman and true innovator.
A far better tribute than I could ever write is here:
