He was such an incredible guitarist. Of the 60s British blues explosion (Clapton etc) he's the only one who carried on progress, innovating and growing. His intonation and skill were so impressive, so many great guitarist cite him as a big influence.
I always loved his cover of Nitin Sawhney's Nadia where he replicates the indian vocal with his guitar.
Also, fun fact: Stevie Wonder wrote Superstition for Jeff originally.
Oh and Nigel Tufnel from Spinal Tap was almost certainly based on him.

This is exquisite. Crosby's voice is stunning. Been a huge fan for decades. Thanks for the music.
- CyBrainX1
Crosby was asked what was his favorite cover of one of his songs. He said Miles Davis' version of Guinnevere - all 29 minutes of it.
- CyBrainX2
This was written after George Harrison told him about the Maharishi.
Crosby's backing band on this track was members of the Grateful Dead: Jerry Garcia on pedal steel guitar, Phil Lesh on bass, and Bill Kreutzmann on drums. Garcia is quoted in the CSN boxed set compilation as saying of Crosby: "Boy, he's fun to work with. He's an inspiration. I think some of the finest playing I've done on record is on his solo album. As far as being personally satisfied with my own performances, which I rarely am, he's gotten better out of me than I get out of myself."
- I saw CSN open up for The Grateful Dead in 1990. They seemed like a mile away in the stadium but sounded great.fooler
- I saw CSN in the early 80s which was nice. Santana was the opener. Then saw I CSNY in 2000 and that was fantastic.CyBrainX
- I've never seen Y, I need to until it's too late!fooler
- I saw him on his own a couple of times too. The man is a legend, one of the few to have remained so consistently great.CyBrainX
