I look forward to seeing this but I won't be expecting much. Mortal Kombat doesn't really translate well into a movie story. Rooting it in the real world is sort of interesting but I think all of the characters traits are way too contrived for a real world scenario..

It could be a cool Bloodsport/Enter the Dragon style tourney movie....or it could be You Got Served.

Love the bit about Reptile. this looks a bazillion times better than the other Mortal Kombat efforts, and a trazillion times better than any Street Fighters.
