IS GONNA ROCK
(i highlighted all you need to know)
In a new warning, Nasa said the super storm would hit like “a bolt of lightning” and could cause catastrophic consequences for the world’s health, emergency services and national security unless precautions are taken.
Scientists believe it could damage everything from emergency services’ systems, hospital equipment, banking systems and air traffic control devices, through to “everyday” items such as home computers, iPods and Sat Navs.
I can't tell if you're being serious or not.
Ah yes, all computers also out. Major blackouts.
This is going to quite something...
i read about this like a year ago on Wired. i think the usa is attempting to shift power distribution to a smart grid if i recall.
2012 is far more in style at the moment.
The real question is what is georgeIII going to do when he can't log into qbn.
"Most powerful storm in a generation..."
Well, their have been a couple (several) generations now that have had electronics, powergrids, computers/micropships, cars etc, etc. and it hasn't happend yet. I know we continue to have more and more technology that is vulnerable, but per norm, I smell fear tactics.
what window of time is considered a 'generation' btw? surely katrina would be a shitty storm for a generaton?
i am all about 2012
iPods? Who needs iPods in 2013?
well, people like Pat Robertson will always blame something like this on Sex and Drugs and Rock Music, whereas some environmentalistas I know will blame it on our gas guzzling fast food ways....
I just came back from 2014 and no one mentioned anything about 2013
