Friends of mine over at http://www.mutantlabs.co.uk have their brand on clothing, but more for fun than publicity.
Wearing a giant oversize jumper with a big squid (Kraken!?) thing on it is probably not the best attire for a board meeting...

i once toured the manufacturing floor at cray, the supercomputer company where i interned a few years back. they all had on the blue-collared workman's shirts with the scripty names on one breast and the company logo on the other - except they also had "fastest computers on earth" stitched in right below the logo.
i thought that was pretty cool.

Or just get subway outfits for everyone in the office, that'll really freak your clients out.

Considering the logo for the company I work for looks like Stevie Wonder could have created it, for me it would be a definite no. However if you have a pretty neat logo and it's not going to be huge on the t-shirt; I would say it's ok to wear it every now and again at work, but not in a manner where it becomes like a uniform or to client meets.

getting company shirts isn't bad if you have them with a nice design on (not just a massive logo) and don't treat it like a uniform, just a freebee and send them to clients.
don't try and sell them on your website though, thats cringe worthy
- my old boss tried hawking tees with his face on them on our first sitescarabin

or get tattoos. Show them you're really committed to working with them.

You should all go to meetings with the logos of the clients your meeting on your shirts. That'd be super cool and awesome and totally not gay.

It is a really BAD idea....
It is the exact corollary of a clothing company designing their own website.
This is all you need you know.

During the meeting the client saw around 7 people wearing the same t-shirt (each one with a custom message) and said a sentence I cannot translate (maybe george could help me): "Ma 'sta paraculata la fate per tutti o solo per me?". I was lucky, after I finished arguing I left the office...

If I walked into a meeting where all the designers were wearing matching branded tshirts I wouldn't be able to contain my laughter for the whole meeting

Tell you're boss we all agree its a fucking gay idea that is detrimental to your reputation as a company.

Well, if your boss does dress you up like the Muppets remember to post pics now.

Easy. I'm not trying anything. I just have a difficult time believing there are NO agencies with branded or promotional clothing. And, for the record, it's my boss's idea. I'm with you guys on the fact that it's rather dumb. But if he wants to go through with it, I might as well give him some nice examples. No?
- i'd wear one of someone else's, as long as it was shite. i have low standards of humour.airey
