no, the developer has the files, but I can't get a hold of him.
I know it's an AS bug, he was supposed to work on it on the weekend but he's gone awol. I'm just scrambling trying to come up with a quick fix.
thanks elee, i'll give it a shot, this thread is chopping long words, what is the rest of this?Element.clientH...

a full bleed flash issue... in IE only?
doesn't sound right... ... flash isn't picky when it comes to browsers... ... there's something wrong in the stage listener in the flash
- elee0
If you have the flash source, it sounds like your dev has listeners set up for resize events, but not for the activate. You'd want to trigger the resize function when the app initializes.
If not, you can use the hackier window resize solution by doing something like this:
function GetWidth()
{
var x = 0;
if (self.innerHeight)
{
x = self.innerWidth;
}
else if (document.documentElement && document.documentElement.clientH...
{
x = document.documentElement.clientW...
}
else if (document.body)
{
x = document.body.clientWidth;
}
return x;
}function GetHeight()
{
var y = 0;
if (self.innerHeight)
{
y = self.innerHeight;
}
else if (document.documentElement && document.documentElement.clientH...
{
y = document.documentElement.clientH...
}
else if (document.body)
{
y = document.body.clientHeight;
}
return y;
}
self.resizeTo(getWidth()-1,getHe...

do you not have access to the flash file? you can trigger a resize event in there without actually resizing the browser.

Is this a full-bleed Flash thingy?
- yup_niko
- That explains a lot. There's a bug in the AS, then.Continuity

Heres' the issue, trying to launch a site today and the developer's gone awol.
Site loads fine on initial launch but if you re-load the site the navigation and other elements disappear. However, if you resize the window then all the elements re-appear.
So my ghetto hack method is to have the window re-size by a small unnoticeable percentage ever time you reload. Just until the developer comes back and can fix his bug.

yeah but why?
some sort of secret project?

I know I know, but it's a miniscule amount, 1 pixel of its current size unnoticeable.

Please don't resize my browser. I'll close your site.

Is it possible to resize your browser window to a percentage of it's current size every time you reload a page?
something like this resizes to the screen but I'm trying to resize it based on the browser windows current size.
<script>
function resize() {
window.resizeTo (window.screen.width / 1.01 ,window.screen.height / 1.01);
}
</script>
