CS3 + LaserJet printing really dark

Working on a client's system, and if printing to an inkjet everything is fine. But if printing to an HP LaserJet 1320, everything gets really dark. Happens in the original illustrator file and in indesign. Any ideas? I can't seem to find a reason why its doing this, and they need to print something out...

My guess is that their printer is shit.
But, I'd ask them to tweak the print settings on the machine and optimize the output to their desired stock. I often find that on a xerox I use at work I have to adjust the print brightness to the max to get it anywhere near the right colour on the output – and even then it's too dark.
I'm not terribly familiar with the ins and outs of the HP LaserJet, but unfortunately, I don't think there's much you can do. :(
