Anyone on QBN work at Wieden + Kennedy's London office? I'm curious to know what the digital culture there is like. Nerdtastic? Code-phobic? Do they do much [in-house] interactive? Mostly british designers? Or more of an international mix?
And for those not familiar, here's their site :

you should read their blog...
http://wklondon.typepad.com/
... a good read and by the looks of things, they're beginning to do some great digital work

I'm seeking an insider's perspective though. The blog has some interesting entries, but it's not what I'm looking for. Is there a digital culture within W+K London? Anyone speak geek there?

From what I know they outsource a lot of development and focus more on conceptual and communication strategies. Not too sure how much 'digital culture' you would get there, though I may be wrong

I've heard they are doing amazing digital work, but I don't know if it's coming out of London? Would be very interested to know.
They did Chalkbot right?
http://nosharpstuff.com/awardsit…- I would imagine so Nike have been one of their longest standing accountsKidswift

Well... Chalkbot is an example of why I was curious to hear from someone who's actually been involved in in-house digital projects there. Chalkbot is really a "reinterpretation" of a pavement-chalking bike created by Joshua Kinberg in NYC several years earlier :
http://boingboing.net/2004/08/29…I'm curious to know if there's much in-house R+D. From what I've looked into so far I think Kidswift is correct.
- It does always astound me how many ads are "reinterpretations".vespa

Apparently Adam Heathcott was the Art Director / Creative Technologist on Chalkbot, and it was out of Portland.
Found this interesting article about London:
http://www.netmag.co.uk/zine/dis…There are some bits in there about how the team structure works across digital / print / tv. I like how they mix it all up, i.e. ideas are considered to be platform independent.

If you work at W+K you are only allowed to wear Nike shoes. Just sayin'

W+K is still print centric.

There is no in house R+D

got a friend that used to work at a interactive agency in London. They got a lot of work from W+K. Like the honda web stuff. From the people I know working there at W+K I don't think they have an in-house interactive.
