you shouldn't do colspans in emails anyway

Yeah it just clicked that I added the the colspan when I didn't need to. I nested the inner table instead or working it into the overall table structure which removed the need for couple of columns (kinda hacky but tables are not my friend and it seemed to work). I just forgot to reduce the colspan afterwards.

I copied the body from the browser, pasted it into gmail and send it to hotmail.
seems ok

You know what. I'm not the brightest this morning. I just fixed a colspan mistake and everything worked out fine. UGH. Sorry for the waste of time guys.

I've had problems with colspan in the past, bash it together again and see what happens.

If its a corporate email thats going out then it's not Hotmail in IE7 thats your worry, it's how the thing looks in Outlook 2007 which is REALLY bad for fecking up emails and stylings.
Hotmail will rip out background images, youve got some background colours in your html, is it ripping out the background colours?

What actually goes wrong in Hotmail mate. It's hard to give advice when we don't know the actual problem.

So, I put together a pretty simple HTML email that works in everything except Hotmail in IE7 specifically.
It works in Hotmail when using any other browser, just not IE7.
It even work when viewing it with IE7 with other email clients or just as a web page.
I've added the link here but if any of you kind folks could give me any hits as to why the hell this is blowing up in only this one circumstance I'd truly appreciate it.
