Finally sorted a proper site. Feedback appreciated.

Tasty's right, I shouldn't have to click "Next" just to begin.

Can I PLEASE have an index of your work? I have no idea how far I am in, and there's no way of getting to either end without painfully clicking Next and Previous repeatedly. What I've seen so far is really nice though.
- You're forcing every visitor to view your work in a specific order. And it's a slow process.monospaced

Came across this the other day for some reason. The Beth Ditto stuff is cool for Evans. What did you do for the Levis photography, art direct the shoot?

Would it work better with a splash page then?

I like the James Holden piece, nice concept.
And yes, I clicked 40 images in, but most people probably won't.

having no thumbs, numbers, whatever, to navigate, is's a hammer in the head

Very nice mate! I agree with having a good piece on the index rather than blank.

I'm sorry but this is unusable.
I think you should go back to the drawing board, sort out your work, figure out how you want to present it (and why!) and get back to us with a website that makes some sort of sense.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think i'll see if i can get it auto centred, and maybe sort out the first link to say 'folio' or something...
- You seriously need to work on the site architecture though. You can't expect people to wade through your work this waymonospaced
- way. It takes too long.monospaced

I think if you're going to present your work this way you need to have the next / prev navigation more overt and possible placed somewhere that makes sense (maybe on left and right side of images.)
I also think you could use some simple jquery to enhance the presentation with some simple effects to transition from one image to the next.
You should also consider navigation to go project-to-project as well.
And yes, you should at least have a splash image or intro of some sort to greet us.
