I'm currently on Satellite - paying a stupid amount for just watching a few shows a month and nba games. My subscription is up soon so I'm looking for alternatives. Anybody try this setup?
HD TV Antenna +Apple TV+League pass
Doing some math and this would be saving me half.Anybody try HD Antenna ($100-150).. hear both good and bad things.

I get it, I do, but you're exchanging sitting in front of an HD wide screen most likely sizable TV for cramming around a computer screen at night. What is the difference? Price? At what sacrifice?
I have the bare minimum cable plan, it's fine for my needs. Can you downsize plans?

got rid of tv last year too- watch sports thru espn3 and the kids like netflix. that does it for us

I haven't had cable or satellite for 10 years, and I don't want it. Too many ways to waste your life away in front of a box. I do have Netflix, though and a little thing I like to call The Internet.
- The irony is the largest client at my day job is a cable/internet/phone provider.duckofrubber

thinking about apple tv and hd antenna is one time cost only.. and everything else is streamed/downloaded (paid/free/etc) and just an annual charge for LL

I download everything. Watching stuff the night it airs, with commercials, is so 2007.
