Former President George W. Bush has backed out of a speech he was set to deliver on Saturday after learning that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange would be speaking at the same conference.
“This week, upon learning that Julian Assange had recently been invited to address the same summit, President Bush decided to cancel his appearance.”
Bush, the statement continued, “has no desire to share a forum with a man who has willfully and repeatedly done great harm to the interests of the United States.”

WikiLeaks: Guantanamo Bay terrorist secrets revealed
Al-Qaeda terrorists have threatened to unleash a “nuclear hellstorm” on the West if Osama Bin Laden is caught or assassinated, according to documents to be released by the WikiLeaks website, which contain details the interrogations of more than 700 Guantanamo detainees.
However, the shocking human cost of obtaining this intelligence is also exposed with dozens of innocent people sent to Guantanamo – and hundreds of low-level foot-soldiers being held for years and probably tortured before being assessed as of little significance.
The Daily Telegraph, along with other newspapers including The Washington Post, today exposes America’s own analysis of almost ten years of controversial interrogations on the world’s most dangerous terrorists. This newspaper has been shown thousands of pages of top-secret files obtained by the WikiLeaks website.

What the hell happened here?
Assange said WikiLeaks would treat the information provided by Elmer like "all other information" the website received, which would include public revelations. However, he said, before any of the material is released, "it could be weeks. It could be longer."
Weeks, what an understatement! At this point, i am wondering if one of two possibilities is going on here. Either Assange is protecting friends/family, nobody is untouchable after all, or as has been suggested he was used to open a can of worms in the middle east. Has anyone seen anything new lately? We all knew the shit would hit the fan for Assange after the initial political wire releases, which for me personally gave hope to the idea that the online community can keep the ball rolling on releases of information such as this. Was this all a smokescreen to dig deeper into Middle-east affairs, or what? I want more dirt lol. :D

Apparent string of errors unties WikiLeaks' bundle of secret cables
(CNN) -- More than 250,000 secret U.S. diplomatic cables are now available in full and unfiltered online, exposing scores of U.S. diplomatic sources and informants that were meant to be protected often for their own safety, according to the website WikiLeaks.

RT is like Fox News but for Russian's political powers. Not necessary bad thing because Russian political interest are very different then those of US thus they often talk about things that American political powers would rather keep hush-hush.
Still i'm not sure Assange has though it through as by allaying with one liar to expose another liar - it tins one's credibility.

It is not as balanced and serious as Al-Jazeera but they have some good shows.
Probably the worst thing is not the content but the puke green graphics.

On Sunday night, WikiLeaks announced the initial release of what it’s calling the Global Intelligence Files, a collection of 5.5 million emails from the private intelligence firm Stratfor. The group claims those emails, to be released over the coming weeks, show Stratfor’s involvement in operations like monitoring activists seeking redress for the Bhopal chemical disaster on behalf of Dow Chemical, payments to the former head of the controversial Pakistani secret service, and even the use of the company’s information for insider trading.
WikiLeaks has partnered with 25 media organizations to sift, analyze and publish those emails: It lists Rolling Stone, the McClatchy News Agency, the Italian newspaper L’Espresso and the Indian paper The Hindu among them.
