A friend, already massively dosed up on Morphine after a serious motorbike accident, got genuinely annoyed with me when I refused to go pick up some ketamine for him.
He's the guy I saw in a hospital bed, chuffing away on an electronic cigarette. It looked so wrong.
I think he managed to sell two more packets to fellow wardmates.

if he's stuck in the hospital, he'd probably enjoy your company more than the gift- perhaps paints and a canvas and then have him make you a portrait- even if he's not a painter, it can be fun.

If his condition's not blood pressure or psychiatric -related, hash cake.

I was thinking around a $100 or so, hes into mountain biking and design, that's about it.
He doesn't watch that much tv but I was thinking a few box sets of mad men maybe?

If he's a smoker - electronic cigarette?
If he's a designer - drawing book and some automatic pencils (don't want pencil shavings mingling with vital chemistries, do we?)
If he's <30 - some kind of hand held video game.
Or, a quality Pizza / Burger delivery.
- If I was in hospital - I'd really appreciate a daily Quality Food delivery.detritus
