Hello all,
A client of mine asked me if it was possible to make a simple video website where he would upload some videos and sometimes even do video podcast,Do you think it is better to set up a dedicated server with enough bandwith or go the other way and get an all in one like http://www.glomera.com/ ??
any suggestions?

amazon s3 is quite ok.
dedicated server is ok too, if set up correctly. It's not only about bandwidth, it's also about how the server delivers the files, I think our provider installed even something different than apache on that machine (I forgot what) to make sure the files flew to the client.
we had a server for the html/php/mysql files and that special one just for the videos and images.
