This applies to text layers imported from Photoshop.
Is there any reason this move in After Effects leaves behind a copy of the non text version of the layer?
Is there any reason it only happens some times?
Is there any reason a text layer isn't created by default? Who wants text you can't work with?

Chill out guy you need to RASTERIZE!

Better to just import an AI file and edit there instead, AE and fonts / text just don't like eachother very well :)
