Does anyone have any good examples of creative CV's? (curriculum vitae)
Thanks!

Heard about a guy who wrote his on a lightbulb and mailed it to aencies. To read it you had to place it in a lamp, turn it on and shine it on wall/desk/something. Of course it sucks if it breaks during shipping.

I like my friend Jonathan's. Super simple:
- the word creative may have been lost on youOvO
- It's creative in that it's super simple and not over complicated or gimicky. No?instrmntl
- It's linked in the menu:

One quick note about creative CVs... don't bother.

what I say 'creative'- I dont mean it has to be a 'concept CV', just well done graphically. most of the time i see CVs but they are done by attorneys or biology teachers.. boooring.
instrmntl- thx. yah it looks good (clean. site looks good too) as you said, but the pdf 'cv' is a resume. A CV should be bit more comprehensive.. treated more like a biography.
thoughts?
- I hear ya. To me that's what makes it kinda balsy. Its like here's my work history, now look at my work. No fluff.instrmntl

@boom:
The US and Canada call it a résumé. The rest of the world calls it a CV.
- usa, usa, usa. lol.akrok
- correction, english people call it a resume (using a french word) and us french canadians call it a CV.zarkonite
- Quebeckers might call it a CV; Acadians most certainly call it a résumé.Continuity
- Your all wrong. A resume and CV are very different things. Resume is short and sweet, CV has more information.Hombre_Lobo_2
- I'm fairly certain it's not called CV in Narniasee_thru

shouldn't the bio be in the cover letter instead?
- I packed mine into the left column of my CV. :PContinuity
- i like you're packing. :-)akrok

my resume/cv goes with my branding. (ex. site, cards, etc.)

...Creative Resume of the Day?
- SoulFly0
correct me if I am wrong, but a Resume and CV also differ in the formatting... every CV I come across has a freaking 20 pages... the person's whole life story since they were 5. maybe it is different in different countries, whereas the resume is 1-2 pages. Anyone seen something like that b4?
- akrok0
i bet the CV is on A4 paper mean the resume is on Lettersize.

- I would say you're right, sir.Continuity

@Soulfly
A resume and CV are very different things, as you seem to have noticed.
A resume is generally a very short and sweet one, page ideally, containing of only what is strictly relevant to the job applied and nothing else.
A CV on the other hand is a much more in depth profile of your achievements which can be anything from 2-10 pages.
- obviously a CV contains more stuff than just achievements, everything else you've done, hobbies maybe?
Hombre_Lobo_2 - yes- this is what im looking for. thing with creatives tho- at what point does a 10 page CV become a portfolio?boom
