there was a site posted on here a while back...think it was html5 based. It was designed for ipads etc. and it started with a little space invaders (shooting a logo or word) at the intro...
anyone remember what it was? (I have searched but can't find it!)
anyone help?

First step is to understand what HTML5 actually is...
-A way to structure documents using semantic elements (header, nav, article, etc)
-Bitmap animation using Canvas
-Video and audio created without Flash
-Behind the scenes stuff like Local Storage and Web WorkersThere's more to it obviously, but those are some of the HTML5 features designers might be concerned with.
So having said that, the Nike Better World example is written in HTML5 structurally - it uses the semantic tags mentioned above. But the transition aspect of it has nothing to do with HTML5 really, and you could easily recreate the same effect in HTML4.
So it sounds like what you are looking for are examples of standards-based (JS) animation and transitions rather than HTML5. Which are easy to find...

Actually ukit – I'm fully aware of the differences, but thanks for trying to turn my bump into a "teachable moment" ;D
While example of both are easy to find – I was hoping to leverage the general good taste that can be found here rather than wade through the muck.
