That's what was confusing me. I have a Samsung 22" monitor at home, and it was more easier on my eyes for some reason. I have a window to the left, all these halo bulbs above me, and a glass door behind me with more lights that's adding glare to my screen. I share the office now, and my boss is pretty firm on not moving things around so he recommended a monitor protector thingy.

OH, at first I thought you meant those 80s things that went across the front of the screen (well, telly back then).
Do you have control over environmental lighting, or are you in someone else's office?
Only times I've ever got really bad glare-eye have been when the monitor's competing against brighter, more comprehensive light sources, like overhead fluorescents or large windows (been staring at computer screens for 24 years).
Try changing layout, by swapping moving screen or desk around or, failing that, petitioning for better conditions.
Personally, I imagine I'd get more confused from the stark transitions between Guarded Monitor-dark and unguarded office-light - better (imo) to maintain a better overall environment.

use eye drops and/or wash your eyes out with luke warm water (not from the dead sea, either)

Looking to reduce the glare on my monitor. For some reason my monitor is making my eyes more tired lately. Any good recommendations? This is for a 22" HP monitor.
