worms. think it's from being taught how to hook earthworms for fishing as a kid. had an apartment once where fruit flies or something laid maggots in the carpet like squishy, angry pieces of rice that would sneak up your leg. watched roundworms crawl out of my dog's butt as a kid.
i cannot to this day handle a worm or go anywhere near anything even remotely maggoty

Aquaphobia.
And no, not any water, specifically deep water. I can swim for shit.
It feels like I'm giving it everything I have and I move about a meter or two.
Think specifically, like at beaches which are nice and shallow (yes I'm fine with that) but then there's a sudden deep drop in depth. Scary shit.
I can't even tread water well. I'm fine in boats and stuff though!

Oh heres another one, dunno it's name. Fields of large animals.
Like dozens of cows or horses. Can't go for a nice walk around here without getting chased by those damn things.

I use to think I had a phobia of Roaches but I think that was more as a child I was traumatized by the movie Creepshow and the scene called: "They're Creeping Up on You!" in which a guy gets overrun by roaches in his apartment. I still hate them, and I cringe when I see them on TV, but truth is I haven't really seen a big nasty roach in a long time so I can't really say it's an issue anymore. However I think I have developed a new fear of heights as I've gotten older. I've gone hiking a number of times with friends and found my self terrified of getting close to a big cliff. Sometimes I will get in the fast lane if I'm driving over a tall bridge on the freeway in order not to see the edge to my right.

i would like to fight a cow and a goose at least once before i die. but not at the same time, that'd be unfair.

Fucking SPIDERS. Can't go near then, can't touch them Looking at them, I get the major heebie-jeebies. One of them gets on me? Forget about it, I flip the fuck out. I jump around waving my arms. Pathetic. Fucking spiders.

I specialised in phobias when doing my doctorate. Each and every phobia is a direct result of a key experience during the first three years of life. The most common phobias are caused by the most common experiences, but the more uncommon ones can generally be attributed to rather unusual experiences, or physiological/ emotional responses to the actions of people during that early period.
Under investigation, the vast proportion of these unusual experiences are eventually attributed to abusive behaviour. About 90% is considered an educated guess as to the amount.
Now then, lets have a look at some of the responses up there.

Yeah, I'd throw in heights with the other two actually. Not flying, or in a tall building.
More like on the top of a tall building near the edge or a cliff.
