you could send a follow up piece... with a Howard Hughes theme...
I did that once and emailed them saying "I was off, wasn't prepared (it was somewhat impromptu interview)"... they said "thanks, but no thanks". oh well, but looking back, I'm glad I didn't get it even though at the time I wanted it.
Thought I blew an interview once, and they called the next day with the job. Sometimes you can be over critical of yourself when going over how the interview went. If you don't land the gig, there will be others and you can learn something from this experience. Best of luck :)
Not sure if you really have a second chance. Just hope they noticed the good parts of the interview. For them to do another interview is asking a lot.
^ I wasn't as articulate as I could've been and I went blank on some job specific questions which I had the answers too.
I did follow up with the phone call, though. I think I was reading too much in to it. looks like I have got a second interview coming up.
What part[s] of the interview did you feel you 'blew' and how would you address them on a phone call?
now we know you blew it, be polite and share if you spat or swallowed.
(somebody had to say it)
haha... yeah, totally screwed it up dude. Bad luck!
I kid. Give it a week or two. I had an interview once that lasted 15 mins. Thought I'd blown it. They called me a week later and offered me the job. It's easy to read too much in to these things.
This thread is far too nice and supportive for QBN.
You have definately blown it.
will keep you posted.
interviews are tricky. if you got that far, you should be happy. :-)
but, yes. wait and see. you never know.
If it was meant to happen it will, don't worry.
There were a lot of times in school I though I aced a test and bombed. Just as many times I though I bombed and actually did well.
Just wait and see =)
*should have blown him
*may have blown it*
see what i mean...
had a job interview this morning for a role i was really keen on.
i've been doing this for some time now and and really quite good in interviews, but for some reason didn't perform very well today.
have any of you been in this situation?
i'm considering calling them and saying, "look, i was just off my game. can we do this again?"
