Tried adding the following Javascript command:
onclick="pause();"To the following Youtube embed:
<object width="525" height="325"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wHSvbjHZCCc?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wHSvbjHZCCc?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="525" height="325"></embed></object>Works in Safari / Firefox, but no IE / Chrome. Any suggestions?

try pauseVideo() JS function.. that's a part of their official JS API on an object.

Not looking to pause the video. Looking to pause the mp3 player that may be running, as soon as someone starts a video.

use the developer tools javascript console in chrome to find out.
could be some loading-order problem, make sure your method is loaded before it is called.
