Do you like the work of M/M Paris? I really love the unpredictability and complexity of their work. Do you know of other designers along the same lines? Please share some links. I'm pretty sure there are other graphic designers trying to break new ground like them, but I don't see enough of it.

I was kinda chuffed on their work about 5 years ago but I haven't really looked at their site in a year or so, last time I did look it just felt so dated, over engineered and to me, just quite decorative and slightly vapid... A lot of their earlier work I also would classify much more in the illustration category, not so much design...

- Interesting observation neue75_bold about the illustration bias, however don't you feel that graphic design in general always overlaps in different media anyway? And why shouldn't a graphic designer be allowed to be illustration-biased as much as photography-biased or typography-biased? Why does a graphic designer have to be balanced across different media to begin with? What if you get absolutely tired of big solid colors and shapes and begin to prefer intricate textures and patterns? Does that mean you have to quit being a "graphic designer" and instead call yourself an illustrator? Hm...redred
