Do any of you guys use a binding machine in office/studio?
We've been thinking about getting a Velobind machine or something like that for proposals and various collateral.
Any suggestions for affordable binding systems that don't look affordable in what they produce?

I have a binding machine in my home office. I use it to make sketchbooks and journals. I love it. Here is a photo of one of the sketchbooks:
Here is where I purchased it and the supplies from:

This is not the exact one, but it is very similar:

Cool! I'll check it out. A lot of these binding machines are pretty pricy ($1000+) but we're trying to find a way to have a professional looking presentation without paying out the butt at a printers every time.
I figure we can get a few pages printed offset as standard pages, print pages ourselves to insert depending on the pitch, and then bind in house we'll probably save a boatload of cash.

I think i paid between $300-$400 for mine. Then you get like 100 wires for around $40 in any color. There are various sizes too, so you can do i some small and some large. I can get you more information on the one I have later when I get home. I'm at the office right now and can't really remember the exact model.

I've always been a fan of thermal binding

you can use these glue strips to attach which ever cover material you like, it really opens up you options for presentation.
The one down side is they don't hold up as well for continuous use like spiral bound.this looks kind of cool, http://www.mybinding.com/.sc/ms/…
only 300.if you go that route make sure you don't get one that requires you to use the cover sleeves, it really limits what you can do.
