Never flown from here, always via JFK. Wondering, by cab, if you think this Google Maps estimate is accurate, in terms of time?
Flight is at 8am. Is the 30 minute drive fair, or is it more like an hour?

It's more like an hour. La Guardia is what an Airport in Hell is like.

I have flown into and out of LaGuardia only once and I concur completely with the above comment.
Also, hour and a half at that time.

La Guardia sucks... just left there, had to wait forever in a 200 person line to get a taxi... while tons of empty taxis drove by.. why?

20 minutes is how long it would take right now @ 12:40am. no traffic, you can breeze right through 34th at this time.
however you better recheck at 8am. i dunno how bad the traffic is at that time. An hour would seem more accurate with more or less cushion.

I alway fly out of LGA
Closet airport. Cab ride $24-28. 20-35 min even in traffic.
I got rode to a car service on Friday at 5:30pm. Got there in 35 min.
Love LGA.
Going to LGA, 8am out of manhattan, counter rush hour traffic:
- from lower manhattan taking Williamsburg = 25-35 min
- midtown tunnel = 20-30 min
- queensb bridge = 25-35 min

10 mins, if you take the helicopter to the airport.
