..hing to do with it. After the early millennial dot com crash, I went for an interview at one of the big ones here in London. Interview went well, didn't take the job.
What I'm trying to say is — I wouldn't have anything to do with that market. Though I should probably add that I hate gambling.

Yeah, the whole gambling thing doesn't sit well with me either. I guess I'm also looking at the bigger picture, where there's also the potential of the stigma of it sinking me professionally.

How can it sink you professionally? There is no lower to go.
- There wouldn't necessarily be any going up afterwards, either.Continuity

Take the money where you can, life is short and the U.S. is going bankrupt anyway.

why would it be a career killer, just shows range. You'll make a ton of money, move on to something bigger and better.

Senior enough to make a difference within the firm?
From a business point of view, if it's a gig that you can quote "I changed this and that and year-on-year/period-on-period we grew XYZ%... yadda yadda... I'm friggin' ace" I would go for it.
It's business and if you can show good business why would this look bad?
Enjoy the cash, move on to Green Peace later in life.
