i know... it's early but i was meant to be on design today and what do i come into? emergency build!!!.... AGAIN!!
HTML and CSS is part of my job, which is fair enough but my job title's gone from Interactive Designer to Interactive Artworker to Build Monkey.
Accounts always say to me "you can't use InDesign can you?"... i can actually, they've just started assuming that I can't because I code lol.

You don't need to become a "developer." But you [read: "everyone" including myself] do need more code skills. Your efforts will repay you. If you're a beginner I recommend starting with JavaScript. Leave these videos on in the background while you work. It's a lot to sit through but it will begin to sink in after a while. And this guy's curmudgeonly attitude is great.
