Canon Picture Viewing Software?

I used to have an Olympus that let me just drag photos into Mac Preview and delete right from there, or drag into photoshop.
I just got a Cannon and it doesn't let me do that. It doesn't pop up under "Devices." Their "ImageBrowser" is too much.
Any suggestions for better software or how to get to the file folder?
Does anyone use iPhoto?

Are you shooting RAW or jpeg?
If you use a card reader, it's often more civilized than dealing with devices / image browser messy software
If it's a new Canon, and you're shooting RAW, you may have to update software, even iPhoto.....
If you have a high-end Mac, Hasselblad Phocus is FREE and pretty good, able to edit and open most RAW file formats on the mac....

Lightroom is good...
Also, Adobe DNG converter can save your butt when you get a RAW file from somebody's new camera and your photoshop or lightroom version isn't brand new.... you can convert the RAW files to DNG, then open the DNG files in older Photoshop and older Lightroom.... DNG = Digital Negative
